The BLHGA will help to promote, encourage and foster the game of golf, and in particular lefthanded golf, throughout the world
This is the official website of the British Left Handed Golfers Association. We hope that you find it interesting and useful. The BLHGA is run by the members, for the benefit of the members.
We meet approximately once a month between April and October. We have 150 or so members, all of whom play the game the ‘wrong’ way round! Statistically, we make up 10% of the global golfing market, more if you live in Australia! So having our own association and website is, despite what ‘righties’ say, legitimate!
Currently, most events are held in Central and Northern England, which represents our membership base. We would very much like to change this. We play at lovely courses, some famous, others less so, and we ensure that we keep costs of attending meetings as low as is possible (usually £55, which includes a days fees, coffee, lunch and dinner).
Our ultimate aim is to create an atmosphere of fun and friendship, but in the context of a competitive round of golf.
